Visagraph™ III

Silent Reading Assessment System
The Visagraph™ III is an objective measurement system used for recording and evaluating reading efficiency (fluency) and effectiveness. In minutes, a detailed analysis of an individual’s reading performance can be generated. The Visagraph™ III provides a comparison of measurements in relation to Taylor’s National Grade Level Normative Data and Goals, as well as recommendations as to Reading Plus® programs that improve reading capability. The Visagraph™ can be used for ongoing assessments during a Reading Plus® course of study, or a vision therapy program, to provide unique insights into the physical, perceptual and cognitive skills that determine the ease and comfort with which one reads.

How it Works

An examiner places the goggles on a student’s head and adjusts them in relation to the student’s pupils. The student then reads a short selection from a test booklet and answers questions to determine his/her comprehension. Simulation of a student’s eye-movements over text, multiple reports and data presentations are then auto-generated. These provide insight as to the foundational visual and perceptual skills that determine the ease, comfort and efficiency with which a student reads. If the student is engaged in a Reading Plus® course of study, multiple recordings can be taken as various milestones are reached to document the changes that are taking place in these foundational skills
